Chuck believes America need an unprecedented investment in its citizens and in its infrastructure. He believes in a universal healthcare system, to care for the lives of every American; he believes in state-of-the-art conservation technology, to preserve American lands; and he believes in providing full funding for school programs, to lay the foundations of a new American future.

During his time on the Cherokee Council, he helped bring many of these reforms to his people, establishing new health clinics and scholarship programs, as well as initiating the largest infrastructural investments in the history of his district.

Background

Chuck Hoskin, a member of the Cherokee Nation, a veteran of the Navy, and an educator, is committed to promoting better education and an improved lifestyle in northeastern Oklahoma. A lifetime resident of District 6 and an activist within his community, Hoskin has proven his ability to produce results.

A schoolteacher and principal for 17 years, Chuck’s commitment to his community is unquestioned and his knowledge of the issues that affect Oklahomans is unmatched. In addition to his positive contributions to children’s lives in Vinita and Locust Grove, Hoskin has served on boards that promote children’s wellbeing nationwide: on the Board of Directors for the National Head Start Association (Governmental Affairs Committee) and a member of the National Indian Education Association and the National Indian Head Start Association.

Chuck Hoskin, a longtime union man (National Association of Letter Carriers, Iron Workers Local #584), proud father of an attorney for the National Labor Relations Board, and a small business owner, understands the needs of Oklahoma’s workers.
